The Source Guide is an electronic collection of more than 150 research outlines from the Family History Library. It is designed for those who have basic information about their ancestors and now need to be guided to original sources.
Installation
Server Configuration
The Data and Help folders can be copied to a Family History Resource File share as shown below. The Source Guide has a separate viewer so its setup.exe file has been renamed to distinguish it from others.

Source Guide network data paths can be configured in the Registry.
W2K Installation
Setup returns an error with SP1, "You cannot install this VB5 application without the latest service pack first being installed onto this computer. Please install the latest service pack and return to this installation. It runs successfully with SP2 however.
